So far, so good

I've been working on the automation I put together earlier to work out some bugs and get rid of some of the quick hacks I used to get it running (like putting secrets in a string 😳). This page probably won't be linked from anywhere for a while so I can make some tweaks without breaking it when it's live.

I'm also embarrassingly new at using version control. My old job didn't involve a lot of co-authoring or collaboration, so I was a little late to getting onboard. Now that I have a bit more time to learn, there's lots of new possibilities, even without a dual-screen desktop and a budget (but it sure was nice to have both, too!).

I've started to try to style things up a bit. I also realized my template was pulling in fonts from Google, so I switched to a different face and self hosted it. It's rare to see a page that doesn't pull in a lot of other services, and I'm hoping i can keep it this way (although I might look back on this differently someday).
